Who we're looking for

As an AI Engineer, you will be working as part of an agile team and will be responsible for supporting clients with turning their business requirements into operationalised AI solutions. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and deploying Generative AI solutions using Azure AI Foundry and it’s auxiliary services. This role combines technical depth with client-facing consulting skills to ensure AI solutions are scalable, secure, ethical, and production-ready.

We work with a Winning from Anywhere® approach but there is an element of travel to client sites when required, along with travel to our company conference and events.

What you'll be delivering

Develop and operationalise Generative AI solutions using Azure AI Foundry, Azure AI Services including Azure OpenAI Models and Azure AI Search, and Azure Machine Learning.
Identify and select the right models and architectures for specific use cases, applying prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) where appropriate.
Implement governance, security, and guardrails for safe and responsible deployment of AI models.
Build and manage data pipelines to support model training, fine-tuning, and evaluation.
Deploy, monitor, and optimise AI solutions in production environments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (data engineers, cloud architects, business stakeholders) to deliver end-to-end AI projects.
Stay ahead of the latest developments in Generative AI, Azure AI services, and Responsible AI practices.

We think you'll be successful in this role if you have some of the following

Proven experience in developing and deploying AI/ML solutions on Azure, ideally with Generative AI (LLMs, GPT, embeddings, multimodal models).
Hands-on expertise with Azure AI Foundry, Azure Machine Learning, Azure AI Search, and Azure OpenAI Service.
Strong programming skills (Python, C# or similar) with experience using AI/ML libraries (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face).
Experience implementing RAG pipelines, prompt engineering, and fine-tuning foundation models.
Knowledge of Responsible AI principles and ability to implement governance and safety controls.
Strong understanding of cloud-native deployment practices (APIs, containers, DevOps/MLOps/GenAIOps).
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
A degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or equivalent professional experience.
